A Chilly Wednesday Night Practice

Well it certainly felt like winter is approaching this week as we made our way to Wednesday night practice.

It was a busy night getting dances up to scratch for Dusking on the 1st November.

Vixen Angela is learning 'Willow's Edge' and 'Fylgja' so we ran through those a couple of times. Vixen's moved on to 'Mote and Beam', working on the details. Then a quick run through 'Ladies of Good Intent'.

Les learnt some of the Wolf's Head and Vixen joint dances. Firstly learning 'Calan Mai' (Welsh for May Day) a dance where one Wolf's Head dances with four Vixens. Then he learnt 'Soggy Vixen's' with Squire Graham guiding him through some of the more complex moves like brimstones.

Dill and Samantha practiced some tunes that will be needed for Dusking and Wolf's Head ended the night dancing 'Twa Corbies' & a three man 'Herne's Favour'.

It was a very productive evening all round and we are ready to dance the sun down at Dusking!
