Cake, Dancing, Raising Money & More Cake!

We have had a very lively and fun afternoon raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support - a charity so very close to our hearts.

The day started with us setting up in the beautiful upstairs room of the The Bohemian. Keiron the owner and staff member Sam were incredibly kind lending us bits and pieces, helping us move tables and buying lots of raffle tickets. By the time we had set up the cake table, put all the raffle prizes out and the fabulous The Beard Conspiracy had set up to play it was time to welcome people in.

We met with old friends and new, we even had a visit from local councillor Vince Maple. The cakes were a hit and we all had great fun dancing to The Beard Conspiracy who played tango, classical and klezmer with an eclectic blend of contemporary classics.

When the band had a break Wolf's Head danced 'Organ Grinder's Mate' and 'Twa Corbies' and Vixens danced 'Fulja' and 'Beltanes Return'. The Beard Conspiracy played another set ending with 'Come on Eileen' which got the whole room up and dancing.

We rounded off the day calling the raffle and everyone went home with amazing prizes and full of cake. We cleared up and headed home, happy in the knowledge that we have raised a massive amount of money for Macmillan and ready to put our feet up and drink a well deserved mug of tea!

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed raffle prizes, cakes and their time 💕
