Sunday Practice

Our first Sunday practice marks the end of the season (although we still have a few of stands to go).
It's a time to recalibrate and start to polish up dances and teach dances to our newer members. It was Emma and Michelle's birthday's recently so in tradition with the side they bought along cake-which makes us all very happy!
So with the tea flowing and cake eaten we got down to business. Vixens kicked off by dancing 'Willow's Edge', then Wolf's Head danced 'Ragged Crow'.
Vixens went through 'Ladies of Good Intent', a dance learnt earlier this week At Wednesday practice. It's certainly coming on well and should be ready for our Dusking event on the 1st November.
Wolf's Head danced 'Mrs Widgery's Lodger' with Foreperson Aaron dancing in a new position which confused him and the other dancers much to the entire sides amusement!
The band, though depleted in numbers this time, were brilliant again. Dill is getting more confident with our tunes, Neil tried out a few different techniques Bodhran and Rachel made big boom noises on her big drum in the most flamboyant way she can!
A very productive afternoon of dancing and playing, readying ourselves for Dusking-a beautiful event held at Bluebell Hill where we dance the sun down.
