August 2026 Post Festival Practice

After an amazing weekend dancing at Wickham Festival we dragged our tired legs to practice on Wednesday night to debrief and prepare ourselves for a day at the seaside on Saturday for Broadstairs Folk Week. It was agreed by all who attended Wickham Festival that it was a resounding success! We met old friends and made new ones and the highlights (apart from all our fabulous dancing) being the silent disco and listening to all the brilliant bands! We then practiced a number of Vixen dances ready for Broadstairs and Emma taught 'Mote and Beam'. Hopefully we can get that dance out again soon. Wolf's Head practiced Herne's Favour, Mrs Widgery's Lodger, Jeremy the Pidge and Krafties, nailing down the finer details.

It was a very warm and muggy practice but a lot got done. We are looking forward to Broadstairs for sun, sea and Morris dancing (and maybe a cheeky ice-cream!)
