Sunday 30th August Day Of Syn

Day of Syn with Romney Marsh Morris Sunday 30th August
We started the day with an epic cooked breakfast and many mugs of tea at The Kraken cafe to ready us for a full day of dance with the fantastic Romney Marsh Morris.
We had a very warm welcome by the crowds at the Day of Syn fête and took it in turns to dance with Romney Marsh Morris. We danced 'Organ Grinders Mate' and 'A very Lovely dance' amongst others. We also had our photo taken with the very nice firemen who bought some of our pink ribbons for Macmillan Breast Cancer Support.
We moved on to The Ocean Inn and danced for another brilliant crowd of spectators. Some of Wolf's Head and Vixen joined in with a Romney Marsh group dance, trying out a bit of Cotswold Morris.
As it was our last seaside stand of the season we decided that a brisk walk by the sea was needed (including chips obvs!)
The forecast had been for showers throughout the day and we had been very lucky all day to avoid the rain until we started walking back from the beach when a sudden downpour had us rushing back to our cars! We ended the day as very soggy Wolf's Head and Vixen's!
